Sergeant Aaron Smith, 25, of
Manhattan, KS, was killed in action
on 02 October 2009 in
Wardak province,
Afghanistan, when enemy forces
attacked his unit using small arms
fire.
He was
assigned to the 2nd Battalion, 87th
Infantry Regiment, 3rd Brigade
Combat Team,
10th
Mountain Division (Light Infantry),
Fort Drum, N.Y.
The
family has invited the Patriot Guard
to attend the funeral.
