  Sgt Erik May    United States Army SGT Erik N. May, 26, from Fredonia, Kansas, died July 14 in Ghazni province, Afghanistan.

   Sgt. May was an infantryman assigned to 2nd Battalion, 16th Infantry Regiment, 4th Infantry Brigade Combat Team, 1st Infantry Division which is currently deployed in support of Operation Enduring Freedom.  This was his second combat deployment with the 'Dragon' Brigade.  He deployed to Iraq with the brigade headquarters in 2009.

Sgt. May joined the Army in September 2007.  He was assigned to Fort Riley in February 2009.
  Sgt. May's family has invited the Patriot Guard to escort him home and attend his funeral service at 10 am Tuesday, July 31, 2012, at Valley Center Christian Church.

The Patriot Guard extends sincere sympathy to Sgt. May's family, friends, and fellow soldiers.

   Greenwood Cemetery - 6231 West 47th Street South, Wichita, KS
   Provide avenue of flags and flag perimeter around family, friends and military
   Full Military Honors provided by US Army Honor Guard

   Re-fuel: Valley Center Kwik Shop, NE corner Meridian & 5th, 1 mi west of church
   Parking is on grass - bring kickstand plate to use if needed
   Watch for directions from the Flag Staging Crew as you arrive
   Riders with flag poles will be directed to line up in column of 2's in one area
   Riders without flag poles in column of 2's in another area
   Cages (4 wheeled vehicles) in another area
   Each motorcycle fly only one 3x5 flag - Bring your American flag.
