Patriot Guard and
American Legion Riders Honored by Sedgwick County Commmisioners

On Wednesday, 03 January 2007, the Sedgwick County Commissioners held their monthly meeting.  One item on their agenda was to honor the Kansas American Legion Riders and Patriot Guard for their support and protection this past year to America's Fallen Soldiers.   I had the honor of accepting the plaque on behalf of all of you.  Cregg "Bronco 6" Hansen, Greg "Ebay" Hansen, and "Wild Bill" Logan were also with me for the presentation.

Ben Sciortino, chairman of the meeting, presented the Chairman's Award plaque to us.  Ben is a Patriot Guard member and is a community leader.  This was his last meeting with the Commissioners, after serving eight years representing Derby and the surrounding area.  We extend our thanks to Ben for his leadership and service to our community.  His contributions are greatly appreciated by all the American Legion Riders and Patriot Guard.

The picture is of the plaque we received.  We wanted everyone to have a picture of it so you can print it for your Post or your personal use, if you wish.  Feel free to frame it and hang it on the wall.  You've all earned this award.  The plaque will be placed on the wall at Post 136.

Very Respectfully,
Terry "Darkhorse" Houck
