Celebration of Life for Deputy Robert Kunze was held Friday, 21 September 2018, at Central Comunity Church, Wichita. Deputy Kunze received his final call and full honors at Resthaven Memorial Gardens. He sacrificed everything, including his life, doing what he believed in. God bless Deputy Kunze and his family. God bless all men and women who choose law enforcement. Thank you to everyone who participated in the mission. | |||

Sheriff Deputy Robert Kunze III was shot and killed on Sunday, 16 September 2018 while investigating a suspicious person call in rural Sedgwick County, Kansas, north of Wichita. Deputy Kunze had served with the Sedgwick County Sheriff's Office for 12 years and had previously served with the Shawnee County Sheriff's Office for six years. He is survived by his wife and child. The Patriot Guard is privileged and honored to be invited to the final farewell for Deputy Kunze. Please attend this mission to support his family and honor this Fallen Hero. The Patriot Guard extends sincere sympathy to the family, friends, and fellow law enforcement officers of Deputy Kunze. |
