This
was a 3 part mission. On Saturday, over 80 motorcycles
and roughly 100 Patriot Guard Riders provided escort for
the remains from KCI to Davis Funeral Chapel in
Leavenworth. Thanks to Sparks of Legion Rider Post #370
Overland Park for driving the flag truck and setting up
a reception line as the hearse and the riders arrived.
Sunday a number of our ranks stood watch outside the
Funeral Home as visitors attended the Visitation from
1400 hrs to 1600 hrs. Thanks to AJ and Lizard for the
water run as the temperature and humidity continued to
climb. Thanks again to Sparks of Legion Rider Post #370
for providing the flags again.
Monday was a standard Patriot Guard Mission. Thanks for
117 motorcycles and riders who blessed us with their
presence. Thanks as well to the number of “cagers” who
joined our ranks to show respect to Col. Harrison.
Special thanks to the fine folks from Legion Rider Post
400 of Topeka for bringing their flag trailer for us and
for the folks at American Legion in Leavenworth Post #23
for opening their doors for us.
Thanks to all who attended and gave up personal time to
complete this mission. Thanks to all the new first
timers who joined in with us.
We all are truly saddened for the loss of a great
leader. Thank you Col. Harrison for your service to our
country. May God be with you as you report for duty in
your in life everlasting. Rest well brother, you served
your country and mankind here on earth.
